Welcome to the prediction online blog. I first got interested in prediction when I ran into a 1995 article in AI in Finance magazine called "Tahiti or Bust". It outlined the experiences of a master S&P 500 trader who worked with an AI expert to develop a system to trade the S&P 500.
It ended with, "And then we retired to Tahiti."
Since then, I've been hooked. I looked at using neural nets, fuzzy methods, genetic algorithms, signal analysis, and many other methods to learn to predict the stock market. I also looked at the works of supposed master traders such as Jesse Livermore, Larry Williams, Gann, and others to find out how they traded, and what methods they used.
The purpose of this site is to talk about those methods, and others, to develop predictions of the stock market, real estate, forex, etc., to see if it is possible to make money with those methods.
